RITUAL:

Place a small amount of each herb into a green glass jar with a cork. You may add a special stone if desired. Ask the Goddess and Gods for their attention and blessing. Use whatever words or actions are appropriate for you. Shake well and set in your kitchen window (or in a window of any room where you have a lot of traffic).This specific Strega Jar is designed for protection of you and your home. From time to time, shake the jar and smell the aroma on the cork to remind you that you are protected.

WITCH HOUSE PROTECTION

PREPARATION: I have fashioned a sort of Witch 'Mezuzzah' to be placed on the inner door frame of the front or side entrances to your home. I used a 4" jumbo craft stick and black marker. Upon the craft stick I have drawn several symbols and runes. For me personally, I have chosen to use: the rune ELOH which denotes friendship, gateways, thresholds and protection; the symbol of the Power of the Union of the Goddess and God; a pentagram which symbolizes Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit; a bindrune for home protection made of the runes EOLH, OTHEL, IS and THORN; and the symbol for the Spirit of Aradia. RITUAL: Perform a consecration or blessing ritual. Cast your circle and ask the Goddess and Gods for their attention and blessing. Use whatever words or actions are appropriate for you. Then place your 'Witch House Protection" in the door frame by glueing it in place.

VEHICLE PROTECTION

This is a specialized spell I created for me to use. I'm sure you can alter it to fit your own beliefs. As I am also in tune with HERA, a peacock feather is a must. I chose the following stones and wrapped them in wire (leather will do nicely also). Hematite (grounding), Sodalite ( de-stress), Amber (protection of children), Moonstone (traveler's protection), and Turquoise (prevent danger). I wrapped these stones so they hang from my rear view mirror. Attatch the peacock feather to the wrap.

RITUAL:

Perform a blessing ritual asking for the Goddes & God and Hera to guide you and protect you while traveling. Use whatever words are comfortable for you. Place your 'hanging' in your vehicle.

HOUSE PROTECTION FROM STORMS

Gather salt, pennyroyal and rosemary.

RITUAL:

Throw 3 pinches of each out of the doorways to your home.

Chant:

Winds of the East,
Winds of the West,
I beg of you,
Give us rest.

Winds of the North,
Winds of the South,
Winds that may be,
Please blow around me.

BOOK OF SHADOWS BLESSING

At the time of the Full Moon, take your Book of Shadows (one that hasn't been written in yet) and some incense (pennyroyal, anise or rue) outside.

RITUAL:

Under the light of the Full Moon, draw a pentagram on the first page and under this write the following information: date, time, place, your magickal name (and sigil if you have one), the moon's phase and any other info you feel is important. Hold the book up to the Moon and say:

Here as the Full Moon shines upon me,
Bless this Book I've made tonight.
I humbly ask this of thee,
Underneath your most sacred light.

EXORCISM OF NEGATIVE ENERGY

This ritual can either be done by yourself or with others participating.(It may be helpful to have others assisting with this.) Incense to burn: frankincense, pine, lilac, or rosemary. This chant is to be said very forcefully many times over.

RITUAL:

Chant:

You are not to come near my body.

You are not to go before me.

You are not to follow me.

Where I stop, you are not to stop.

Where I sit, you are not to sit.

At my home, you shall not enter.

You are not to step in my steps.

You are not to be in my shadow.

Where I go, you are not to go.

DAILY GUIDANCE

This ritual I do for daily guidance. I also do his little ritual when I feel stressed about a situation.

RITUAL:

Chant:

Hail Diana, Hail Uni
Full of love.
Blessed is your name
Grant me your guidance in my daily life.

I am but a messenger
Your bidding will be done
Here on Earth and beyond.

TO GUARD OR PROTECT YOURSELF

Incense can be used such as: patchouly, sandalwood or cimmamon.
RITUAL:

This is a small spell that can be repeated out-loud or silently to yourself. I use this to ground myself when I feel stress or nervous also. As you say these words, feel yourself being enclosed in a whitelight of protection. Repeat as many times as you feel necessary. Chant:

Bound, bound, bound
Wound around
Guard me now
Sky to ground

TO UNCURSE OR REMOVE THE EVIL EYE

You will need: 2 sewing needles, salt, water, olive oil, scissors. This is something my aunt used.

RITUAL:

Take 2 sewing needles and insert the tip of one into the other and say..... Chant:

Eyes againt eyes,
Return to the sender.

Drop the needles into the water on top of 3 drops of olive oil. Sprinkle 3 pinches of salt into the water. Take a pair of scissors and jab them into the water/oil 3 times. 'Cut' the air with scissors above the bowl 3 times. It is done.

CIRCLE CASTING

Chant:

Maiden, cast your circle white
